A “Commercial Combined” package generally includes in a single policy most of the classes of insurance required by a premises-based business. The sums insured are tailored to individual needs and the whole policy is built around standard sections.

Typical sections include:

Material Damage Insurance:

This covers the physical assets of the business, such as the premises themselves, computers, plant and stock, in fact all physical assets other than vehicles.

“All Risks” Insurance:

This covers any items which are used away from the insured’s premises, anywhere in the world.

Business Interruption Insurance:

This protects the business against sudden downturns in turnover caused by an insured event.

Employer’s Liability Insurance:

This deals with the liability of the insured to their employees.

Public Liability Insurance:

This deals with the insured’s liability to third parties, excluding staff.

Product Liability Insurance:

This deals with the insured’s liability for products supplied.

Money Insurance:

This covers money held at the premises, or in transit, or in the custody of staff or carriers.

Goods in Transit Insurance:

This covers goods sent in owned vehicles or by third party carriers.

Legal Expenses Insurance:

This covers the cost of legal fees for a wide variety of risks.

Engineering Insurance:

This covers plant against damage or breakdown. Cover can also be arranged for complying with the statutory inspections required for certain items of plant.

The above statement is not designed to act as a summary of cover, but is intended as a general guide only. It should not be relied upon as confirmation that any particular item is covered by a policy held.
In each case, we will be happy to discuss the cover provided.
